Ever since I was little I loved to write. I've written many things over the course of my life in different forms including poems, short stories, song lyrics, children's books, letters, journals, essays, screenplays, blogs, and even started a novel. During my time as an undergraduate I did a lot of professional writing as well, including my internship at the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg. But creative writing is still my favorite.

 I graduated from Kutztown University in May of 2015 with a bachelors degree in Communication Studies. While there, I also earned minors in Professional Writing, Women's and Gender Studies, and Public Relations. I currently work with my dad in his financial business and enjoy writing my children's books on the side.

I love writing children's books because reaching our youth with positive and empowering reading material is so important. They are our future.

When my younger brother, Christian, was little he would come out of the ocean and plop down in the sand. He would then stretch out and say, "I'm one with the sun". He was the inspiration for my title. I hope more children have the opportunity to think like he did in that moment after reading my book.
